To all our customers, colleagues and friends
Thank you for your tremendous offers of support after the fire which totally destroyed our Penrith store. We have really appreciated the kindness and understanding you have shown us at this difficult time. This store has now been cleared, leaving nothing but a concrete slab.
After exhaustive investigations, it has been concluded no actions by any staff member or associate of Kangaroo Tent City and BBQs contributed to the cause of this tragic event. This unfortunate accident appears to have been caused by an electrical fault. The building and all its contents were totally destroyed. The centre owners are looking at re building, with a view to be completed by approx March 2012.

We are very proud to have a dedicated team of staff who have done a great job to assist us in looking after our customers and recover from this disaster. Rest assured, we continue to offer our wonderful range of products to you, and have already been very busy serving Penrith customers at our other stores. We really appreciate your decision to stick by us and continue to shop with us. With your ongoing support, we will continue to develop high quality, innovative and sharply priced products for you, our loyal customers. Our other 5 stores - located at North Parramatta, Caringbah, Chatswood, Tuggerah and Maitland - are all operating business as usual.
At this time we have not been able to find suitable alternative premises in the Penrith area, so we have decided to wait and discuss the option of re designing and rebuilding at the same location again. This will however take some time (approx 12-18 months) with council plans to be submitted and approved before any construction can commence.
Until final decisions are made at Penrith, our nearest store to help our Penrith customers is located on the corner of Seville St and Church St North Parramatta PH 02 96302888.
